Young Michael Corinthos is devastated and grieving on General Hospital, but Chad Duell is celebrating happy days ahead after attending an Emmy event.
Duell was the envy of every Happy Days fan when he got to meet The Fonz himself, Henry Winkler, recently at an Emmy event.
“Great meeting this man..awesome person. @hwinkler4real #emmys,” shared Duell recently on a photo he shared on his Instagram account.
Winkler is a TV legend, first winning over fans on the Ron Howard-led 70s series, and continues to gain more fans with every project, especially his turn as Barry Zuckerkorn on Arrested Development.
While that had to be an incredible moment for Duell off-screen, he’s had to endure all sorts of overwhelming emotions now that Michael thinks his infant son died. The scenes at Morgan’s grave, asking his late brother to keep an eye on his young son in heaven were heartbreaking.
There’s no word on how long the show plans to keep Michael in the dark about the true paternity of “Wiley” — though a story like this could remain dormant for years on soaps.
Exactly how General Hospital plans to handle it is anyone’s guess — but whatever they do, it looks like Duell will have some meaty material for the foreseeable future.
General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
