We may not see the character of Dr. Terry Randolph on General Hospital as often as we’d like, but actress Cassandra James certainly has something to celebrate.
That’s because she was born July 17, meaning the GH newcomer is turning one year older today! James made daytime soap opera history when she debuted on the series back in June 2018 by becoming the first transgender actress to play a transgender character.
James, who was born in Pasadena, California and raised in Vancouver, was a natural performer who says she was bitten by the acting bug at a young age. James attended Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada and graduated from their Theater Acting Program.
The performer moved to Los Angeles in 2017 hoping to peruse her dream of becoming a famous actress. She mostly appeared in documentaries as herself bringing awareness to transgender issues though she did land a starring role in the erotic thriller Roobha. But it is, of course, the role of tendered hearted Dr. Randolph that James is most known for.
Soap Hub would like to wish James a very happy birthday and you can too by clicking the Twitter link below. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
