It’s always a thrill to see Carolyn Hennesy grace our General Hospital screens as Diane Miller, mob lawyer extraordinaire and best friend to fellow attorney, Alexis. Unfortunately, those appearances are few and far between of late.
So, Hennesy has to keep herself busy elsewhere and now she’s landed herself a guest-starring role on the CBS sitcom, Mom, according to Soap Opera News. While there are no details on who Hennesy will play as of yet, she will be reunited with actress Mimi Kennedy, with whom she worked several years back on Anger Management.
The CBS sitcom, Mom, premiered in 2013 and tells the story of a single mom trying to maintain her sobriety as she raises two strong-willed children. When Grandma enters the picture, it makes things 10 times more complicated.
As for Diane on GH, she hasn’t been seen in months, but we know she can appear any time, especially with the mob wars heating up and the increased chance of Sonny (Maurice Benard)and/or Jason (Steve Burton) needing a lawyer.
The last time she came to the defense of that crowd was when Sam (Kelly Monaco) shot Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) dead with a flare gun and Diane convinced her to let the judge decide a verdict rather than a jury. That ended with Sam sentenced to prison, but she is recently out on parole battling her parole officer. Perhaps Diane will show up once Sam gets herself in big trouble for sneaking around with Jason.
In the meantime, Soap Hub looks forward to seeing Hennesy on Mom and we’ll keep you updated with details. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
