General Hospital Star Briana Nicole Henry Positive For COVID-19

As the coronavirus pandemic rages on out of control across the United States, another soap star has announced she has tested positive for COVID-19. General Hospital star Briana Nicole Henry and her husband are recovering from the virus and tells us about her journey on Instagram.

“Kris and I have been recovering from COVID-19 since a few days after Thanksgiving. Although some symptoms linger, were both so grateful that it seems as though, unlike for over a million others, we will make a full and healthy recovery.

“I’ve stepped out of my home only to simply walk Marlee, which in turn has given me an opportunity to spend a lot of time inside my mind, observing different thoughts. I was reminded of the strength of my body and its ability to heal. I’ve been reminded what a sound choice it was to marry someone that is kind and thoughtful. I recommend picking a partner that is your best friend. On my worst days, @krisbowersmusic reminded me of how beautiful he thought I was, how strong. Even though the mess I physically felt I was.

“I was reminded how kisses can make some of the most healing of medicines. I was touched by Marlee’s constant loyalty. My fevers, body aches, and sobs were never enough to make her not want to nestle into my stomach, assuring I had her warmth near. I was blown away by the amount of friends, colleagues, family, old friends, fans who reached out to remind us we were loved and being thought of. I will keep that love for a lonely day, one in which I’ve managed to convince myself otherwise. I was reminded that emotional healing is never-ending. It is part of our life’s work. Be patient, you deserve at least that.

“I felt grateful for the safety of my home, knowing there are so many that would not/ do not have a safe place to rest their souls and heads every night to heal and rebuild,” Henry continues. “Grateful I could spend hours watching people in my field transcend my screen and find a way into my heart. But most importantly I feel so grateful for the people, front-line workers, that are fighting tirelessly to get people to survive this insane pandemic we have all found ourselves so deeply in the throws of.

“Lastly. And please hear this. We are simply human. Vulnerable, just as anything else with the ability and certainty of death. Please wear a mask. Take the precautions that will ensure your safety as well as the safety of people you may never meet. We get through this by being selfless, kind, and vigilant. Love y’all.”
