Drew may be presumed dead on General Hospital, but his portrayer, Billy Miller, can be seen in an upcoming Apple TV+ limited series Truth Be Told starring Oscar-winning actress Octavia Spencer (The Help).
How To Catch Billy Miller
Deadline reports that Truth Be Told tells the story of Poppy Parnell (Spencer), a podcaster, who feels she has no other choice than to open a murder case after she feels the man she helped put behind bars for murder just might be innocent! Watch for issues of race, media, and privacy to be explored as the drama unfolds over 10 episodes.
The series also stars Elizabeth Perkins (Big), Michael Beach (Dynasty), Mekhi Phifer (ER), Tracie Thoms (9-1-1), Haneefah Wood (One Day at a Time), and Ron Cephas Jones (This Is Us). While the Deadline report does not list Miller among the cast, he does appear on the program’s IMDB page as the character Alex Dunn, who is set to appear in 6 of the series’ 10 episodes.
Miller won three Daytime Emmys for his role as Billy Abbott on The Young and the Restless. His first two were for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. His third win was in 2014 for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series.
Miller recently departed the role of Drew Cain on General Hospital, although he was originally cast as Jason Morgan, who morphed into Drew after Steve Burton returned to the role.
After becoming beloved in Port Charles, all of Drew’s pre-PC memories were downloaded into his former foster brother, Franco, and Drew was presumed dead when his plane went down on a trip to Afghanistan. Of course, it’s a soap and Drew could be very much alive.
The Apple TV+ subscription service is set to launch on launches on Friday, November 1 in over 100 countries and regions. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check local listings for air times.
