“Nearly 80% of LGBTQ students experience verbal harassment in school. This silent video is in support of #LGBTQ youth & all those organizing the #DayofSilence on 4/12 in their schools – we challenge you to make a video & tag 3 more friends!”
Bullying in schools — of both LGBTQ students and other students — can lead to emotional health problems, as well as suicide and suicide attempts.
GH has featured a bullying story all school year, with Aiden now being shunned from parties because some parents believe he may be gay.
Please share the tweet below in support of LGBTQ youth and the day of silence. Awareness and acceptance can make a positive difference in so many lives.
