General Hospital Spoilers Weekly Update for July 31 – August 4

General Hospital spoilers (GH) for July 31 – August 4 are here. Things certainly got murky on “General Hospital” this week, and we’re only set to sink even deeper.

Sam’s ongoing illness finally reared its ugly head, leading her to shoot Sonny and leave him stranded in a literal pit of despair. Another Port Charles resident was put into her own predicament when Garvey kidnapped Liz and held her captive.

There was one noteworthy bright moment when Maxie finally returned from her time away… but Nathan has yet to come clean, and the fallout will be fierce. Here are the spoilers!

As his situation grows more and more dire, Sonny begins to lose hope… and he realizes that he has a difficult choice to make. His absence – and the assumption about his condition – leaves Carly feeling inconsolable, and she lashes out at everyone around her. Difficult moments also abound for Ava, who takes great pains to hide her appearance… but receives a life-changing proposal.
