General Hospital spoilers (GH) for Friday, July 21 tease trouble ahead for Sonny when he receives an ominous text message. Are the Five Families circling or does it have something to do with Sam? You won’t want to miss a moment of this edge-of-your-seat episode!

Trouble Brewing
Sonny (Maurice Benard) has a lot of irons in the fire at the moment – and one he doesn’t even know about yet.

First, he has issues with the Five Families since he wants to get out of the mob and go into a legitimate business – preferably with Jason by his side once again.

Of course, there’s one person who doesn’t want him anywhere near Jason – and that’s Sam. And then there’s his pursuit of Spencer’s (Nicolas Bechtel) kidnapper – with all eyes on Valentin.

So when he receives a mysterious text, it’s hard to say who it is that wants something from him.

On the Case
As for the Spencer front, Sonny does have help with trying to find his nephew for Laura (Genie Francis). Jason (Billy Miller) is on the case and promises Sonny he’ll to do what he can.

But being Jason that means using his muscle as he questions Valentin about the young man’s whereabouts.

Hanging On By A Thread
Seeing Jason helping out Sonny is not what Sam (Kelly Monaco) needed, and the sick woman (though sick with what we still don’t know?!) makes a beeline for Julian (William deVry).

Will he be a good father and talk her down – or will he be Julian and rev her up to do something final with Sonny?

Deep Wounds
Perhaps Julian should keep an eye on his burned sister. After all, Ava’s (Maura West) in a really bad way since being cut loose by General Hospital to fend for herself.
