Get ready for a sizzling summer on “General Hospital” that will keep you in an air conditioned room and glued to the screen.
Your main entertainment will come from the Cassadines–or at least a search for a missing Cassadine that looks like it will take different characters all to one place. According to the latest issue of ABC Soaps in Depth, Jason (Billy Miller) and Sam (Kelly Monaco) head off on quite the adventure to clear his name. Expect some surprises, as the characters themselves experience quite a few shocks.
“Jason and Sam will be on an adventure that leads them to some surprising places in the world,” Head Writer Jean Passanante told In Depth. Her co-head writer, Shelly Altman added that it will also “take them to a surprising place in their own relationship.”
The pair also get a little help from a friend, namely Sonny (Maurice Benard). Of course, Sonny has his own business to take care of this summer and the danger might finally get to Carly (Laura Wright) in a way it hasn’t before. She’s still feeling the emotional effects of Sonny’s shooting last fall and Morgan’s moment on Pier 54 this past winter and her patience is tested.

Not only does Carly have to deal with her marriage, she also steps up her search to learn where Josslyn’s kidney actually came from. Altman told In Depth that “her questioning might turn up answers she’s not prepared for.”
Meanwhile, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) also has to deal with her own mobster husband as she reflects on her choices of late. Remember, she still holds the evidence that can implicate Julian for Carlos’ murder, but will she use it? The writers did tell In Depth that she does take action, but what action does she take?
Over on the Franco (Roger Howarth) front, he grows closer to Liz (Rebecca Herbst), according to In Depth. At the same time, Nina (Michelle Stafford) might find a new romance.
Finally, other Port Charles citizens find their own surprises, including Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Lulu (Emme Rylan) and Nathan (Ryan Paevey) and Maxie (Kirsten Storms). When Claudette finally turns up in town, it could change everything for the engaged couple, as well as one Dr. Griffin Munro.
