One General Hospital character finally seemed to get it about the danger of repeating the same mistakes over and over again – but she is certainly not the only one who needs to learn the lesson.
Carly (Laura Wright) arrived at Sonny’s jail cell and the two estranged spouses discussed the new development – that Sonny isn’t directly to blame for their son’s death.
As Carly has wisely noted, Sonny’s chosen way of life has still damned them to a nonstop cycle of violence. So, she asked Sonny if he plans to seek retribution against the person who is responsible.
Can’t Change His Spots
Sonny (Maurice Benard) isn’t a stupid man and knows exactly what she wants to hear from him – only he can’t say it. Carly, at her wit’s end, realizes he hasn’t learned a damn thing from this experience.
Carly professed her love for Sonny but she realizes love isn’t always enough. “Something has to change and if it won’t be you, it has to be me.” But have we heard this from Carly before – or has she finally, truly had it?

Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) has always been a strong, capable woman who suffered no fools. So, it’s been hard to watch her downward spiral into the bottom of a wine bottle.
