Sonny and The Original “Stone Cold” Together Again!

Birthdays have a way of bringing people together. In this case, a birthday reunited an iconic “General Hospital” duo!

Maurice Benard and Steve Burton had something any successful soap friendship needs: chemistry. Steve Burton’s unemotional rationality as Jason Morgan complemented the passionate impulsivity Benard brings to Sonny. Fans loved this unlikely best pal pair and the actors grew close off-screen

Benard took to Instagram to show the bond between Sonny and the original Jason remains unbroken–all in celebration of Burton’s birthday yesterday. Burton shared a snapshot of the two as well!

Even Sean Kanan (Deacon, B&B), the actor who originated the role of Jason’s big brother, A.J., got in on the act. He tweeted Burton a happy birthday and underscored their familial bond!
