General Hospital Shocker: “Custody” of Charlotte Goes To….Nelle?!?!?

Fans who attended the inaugural General Hospital Convention in Burbank were treated to a sneak peak video containing upcoming climatic story points that are going to air any day now.

In one of the clips, the judge in the baby Charlotte custody case is heard saying the decision is in as her gavel comes banging down!

While viewers don’t know who wins the battle for Charlotte, one actor involved in the story may have inadvertently let an upcoming development slip.

“Are you Charlotte’s nanny?” a GH actor asked Chloe Lanier (Nelle) during a Q&A panel featuring several performers.

If that indeed is true, it doesn’t exactly reveal whether Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) or Lulu (Emme Rylan) wins custody, but it perhaps does solve the case of how Nelle will manage to make a living and stick around Port Charles.

The actress was asked during the same Q&A panel if she thought the audience would like to see Nelle find redemption or receive future smackdowns?

“I’d like to see a little bit of both,” Lanier thoughtfully responded. “She deserves both. I think everybody deserves both at one point or another [throughout their lives]. Every person is incredibly flawed but also has amazing qualities at the same time so it’s hard for me to classify somebody as ‘good’ or ‘bad’ even if they do things that are classified as such.”

Lanier’s goal is to play Nelle as someone fans will love to hate–and hopefully, ultimately, embrace.

“Of course, you want the audience to enjoy what you’re doing and the work that you’re doing,” she says, “but at the end of the day I can’t please everybody. And I’m just here to do my job, try to learn as much as I can, and enjoy…continue reading on the next page —>

The young actress’ thoughtful words earned her the admiration of at least one fellow cast member, and a respected one at that!

“You’re doing your job,” a supportive Maura West (Ava) told Lanier. “And you’re a fine actress!”
