While the audience and Carly (and Ava) know Nelle spent months setting Carly up to look insane on General Hospital (GH), Carly still gives in and does what she thinks she has to in order to be free.
Yes, she pleads guilty, but how will that set her free? Well, she pleads guilty by means of temporary insanity. Since even Sonny (Maurice Benard) thinks she’s had a breakdown, why not let the judge believe the same and spend some time in a hospital until she’s deemed cured.
According to published reports, Carly (Laura Wright) feels some hospital time is better than time behind bars, and really, how long will she be there when she knows she’s sane? That’s Carly’s reasoning and even Sonny goes for it.
He figures Carly can get the treatment she doesn’t even think she needs and they can just move on with things.
Of course, that’s easier said than done when they meet the town’s new DA.
And, it also doesn’t look like Nelle (Chloe Lanier) is about to let up on her quest to make Carly’s life as miserable as possible.
We do know that Ava (Maura West) holds a key piece of evidence that could corroborate Carly’s story, but will she use it? If she learns that Griffin (Matt Cohen) slept with Kiki (Hayley Erin_, she just might, so Nelle should never forget about a baby blanket bomb that can drop any time.
Stay tuned to see what happens in this tangled web and if Nelle ever gets what’s definitely coming to her.
