Did Olivia’s Storyline Live Up To The Hype On General Hospital?

Olivia’s reign of terror finally came to an end on General Hospital when she was arrested for the murder of Morgan.

After months of mysterious plotting, manipulating, and ordering Julian around like a trained seal, viewers finally learned the method behind her madness. Olivia (Tonja Walker) resurfaced in Port Charles to avenge love of her life Duke’s murder at the hands of her brother, Julian.

She ordered Julian to kill Alexis, the wife he loved, and threatened to eliminate all his children, if he didn’t. Ultimately, Olivia opted to kill her brother and planted a bomb in his car; the car Morgan stole and ended up getting blown to smithereens in.

Soap Hub asked if General Hospital viewers were satisfied with the Olivia storyline.

Yes, It Was Entertaining.
More than half of GH fans, some 51% of you, found the tangled tale to be totally entertaining and brilliantly written. When Julian (William DeVry) went off the deep end and tried to slit Alexis’s throat, you were horrified.

Olivia being behind the whole thing was a stunning surprise, and so was the twist that she inadvertently murdered Morgan while trying to off Julian.

Bringing Anna (Finola Hughes), Robin and Duke’s son Griffin into the mix at the very end was a perfect way to wrap things up, and it totally made use of Olivia’s past ties to PC.

No, It Was A Let Down
Some 46% of you didn’t enjoy Olivia’s return at all. Her resurrection destroyed one of your favorite couples, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Julian; almost cost Sam to lose her baby; and worst of all meant the demise of Morgan.

Plus, her final face-off with Anna was uneventful. Olivia announced she had a secret; then, quickly pulled it back saying she was “crazy.” What kind of an ending was that?

Perplexing Plot
The final 4% of fans were kind of perplexed by Olivia’s story. Some of you didn’t know who the character was, so you were never invested in her return.

Others found it confusing and hard to follow. And still others felt it was dumb from the get go and just kept getting dumber as it went along.
