General Hospital fans had to endure three days (thankfully not in a row) of Major League Baseball being on their television screens instead of new episodes of their favorite soap. Those in charge wanted to do something at least to make their viewers happy — so they released a deleted scene!
General Hospital — New Content
You can’t say the show hasn’t been trying to find a way to make it up to their fans for the ABC-dictated pre-emptions. Earlier in the week, they released a fun video with bloopers from the cast, which is always a hit. Now, they’ve decided to show a scene that never made it to air between Jax (Ingo Rademacher) and Nina (Cynthia Watros).
From their attire, it’s easy to see that this scene was supposed to air around the Nurses Ball, as they’re still wearing their special T-shirts for the ball that was transformed into a telethon due to real-life COVID-19 restrictions.
The scene, which you can watch below, was posted to the show’s official Instagram account saying, “New episodes of #GH return Monday! In the meantime, enjoy this deleted scene where Nina realizes she and Nelle were more alike than she’d like to admit. #GeneralHospital.”
In it, Nina opens up to Jax about just that — and she gets quite emotional. So why was this scene deleted? It could be for any number of reasons, but usually, it’s for time. Each episode has to come in under a strict time limit, which means that sometimes things that were taped will need to be cut. Scenes that aren’t pertinent to forwarding the plot can be a casualty.
As for where Jax and Nina go from here, there’s a good chance that necklace Avery found at the cabin is going to come into play sooner than later and when it does, it’s a good bet all Nelle will break loose. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
