The General Hospital recap for Friday, August 18 focuses on a day of discoveries, memories, and understandings.
Reunion Time?
Nina (Michelle Stafford) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) have kept their distance since he was released from international prison, but that doesn’t mean Valentin doesn’t want his wife back.
To that end, she gave him a list of demands, including getting over his obsession with Anna, making peace with Spencer, and working out Charlotte’s custody with Lulu.
Valentin said he can meet all those demands but couldn’t promise that his past won’t come back to haunt their lives in any way.
Forget The Dark Past
Meanwhile, Franco (Roger Howarth) re-visited his past in his art studio, slashing paintings with his old code on them. He claimed he was never an artist, just a dark and twisted killer and these paintings are a reflection of that.
Kiki (Hayley Erin) dropped by and stopped him, telling Franco he can sell the paintings through her mother and the money can go to Liz’s boys and even Kiki’s med school if she decided to go. Soon, Franco showed up at Ava’s door with a proposition.
Awkward Situation
Ava (Maura West) had already had an eventful day when Kiki made her first stop at her mother’s place. She realized Ava felt warm and convinced her to go to the hospital, where she was diagnosed with the flu. (It’s flu season already?)
While there, she was cold with Griffin (Matt Cohen) and he was confused, telling his concerns to Liz (Rebecca Herbst). Nurse Webber convinced him not to give up on Ava.
Diamond Mystery
Anna (Finola Hughes) was quite curious about the diamond Spencer (Nicolas Bechtel) gave Emma (Brooklyn Silzer) and thought for sure it must be a fake. Emma gave it to her grandmother so she could do some investigating. Anna later found a diamond expert and asked if this was a Berlin diamond.
