The General Hospital recaps for July 12 – July 16, 2021, feature the Quartermaine family expanding by one, Nikolas Cassadine welcoming his son back into the fold, and the Caulfields reckoning with some devastating news.
General Hospital Recap Highlight
The Quartermaines convened to oust Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) from the CEO position at ELQ and to vote in Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth). The proceedings were brought to a halt by the arrivals of Scotty Baldwin (Kin Shriner), and Austin (Roger Howarth). Austin introduced himself as Austin Gatlin Holt – Edward Quartermaine’s grandson – and revealed that he’s challenging the will that disinherited his father, Jimmy Lee Holt.
GH Recaps: Coming Clean
Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) informed Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) that she’s leaving Port Charles – insisting that it’s the only way she’ll be able to keep herself from visiting with Louise. Maxie later inadvertently slipped and revealed the entire truth about her scheme to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).
General Hospital Recaps: Prodigal Son
Having been tipped off by an unaware Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) that the police may be on to him, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) disposed of evidence that could out him as Ava Jerome Cassadine’s (Maura West) stalker. He then presented himself to his father Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) and grandmother, Laura Collins (Genie Francis).

At Phyllis Caufield’s (Joyce Guy) and “Mike’s” (Maurice Benard) urging, Lenny Caufield (Rif Hutton) agreed to see a specialist about his heart condition. Subsequent scans detect a cancerous mass on his pancreas. “Mike” had a Sonny memory of saying goodbye to his ailing father; afterward, he called Nina and implored her to return to Nixon Falls.
General Hospital Recaps: Courtship Conundrum
Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), having ascertained that Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) had been warned off by his aunt Stella (Vernee Watson), made a point of reaching out to Portia and telling her that he’d like to take their relationship to the next level. Portia declined the offer, fearing that it was a rebound moment and they’d ruin the friendship she’s come to cherish.
GH Reaps: Priorities
Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) attempted to clear the air with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and discuss their kiss, but she expressed disinterest in revisiting the incident. Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) confronted Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) about the distance she’s put between them, and she confessed that she’d love nothing more than to build a life with him – but only he if turns his back on the Corinthos organization.
