GH Spoilers Spec: Austin Gatlin Holt Isn’t Really Who He Says He Is

Fans who follow GH spoilers were speculating who the new doctor character – who so totally does not look like two previous Port Charles characters (why would you even say such a thing?) – finally got their answer: Austin Gatlin-Holt is the son of Charity Gatlin and Jimmy Lee Holt. And Jimmy Lee Holt is the illegitimate son of Edward Quartermaine. So Austin is a Quartermaine! But what if he is more of a Quartermaine than even he knows?

GH Spoilers Wild Spec: Past Tense

Jimmy Lee (Steve Bond) met Charity, a humble, honest, farm woman – exactly the way Jimmy Lee was raised by his adoptive parents, away from the glitz and backstabbing of his father and biological mother – because she was where Alan Quartermaine (Stuart Damon) ended up when he had amnesia and thought he was a humble, honest farm man.

Alan and Charity were in love. But then Monica (Leslie Charleson) found him, brought him back to Port Charles, forced him to remember that he was a rich doctor – and her husband. Alan still had feelings for Charity, but Monica was his one true pairing. So Alan and Monica reunited, and Charity got Jimmy Lee as a consolation prize. They left town.

But what if Charity left town…pregnant with Alan’s child? She could have confided in fellow farmer Jimmy Lee. He would have been sympathetic. He knew what it was like to be discarded by the Quartermaines. But he had a happy childhood. And so would Charity’s baby – with him as the daddy.

GH: What You Don’t Know

Austin (Roger Howarth) would have grown up knowing he was a Quartermaine – but an illegitimate one. If he tries to throw his weight around ELQ, just wait for Monica, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton), and the rest to keep reminding him that he’s the son of a bastard. But if he isn’t…we could be looking at the next head of ELQ!
