The General Hospital recap for Thursday, January 2 features Valentin doing a bad, bad thing, Laura’s wheels spinning, bad news for JaSam, and Sonny continuing to prove that he neither changes nor learns from his mistakes.
General Hospital Recap Highlights
While Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) sung Valentin’s (James Patrick Stuart) praises to Nina (Cynthia Watros), the Cassadine fortune usurper conned Martin (Michael E. Knight) into bringing Ava (Maura) out onto the highest balcony situated against the walls at Wyndemere.
Once alone, Valentin told Ava to name her price for Mikkos’ codicil but the feisty Jerome wasn’t interested in bargaining. “I neither want nor need anything from you.” In response, an exacerbated Valentin — having already threatened to find alternate methods to get what he wants — threw Ava over the balcony’s parapet. (The parapet is alive and well again! It’s like GH is back.)
Resurrection (Not So) Impossible
Meanwhile, Laura (Genie Francis) found Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) looking for her errant “bodyguard” whose picture the young girl reminded her was on Lulu’s (Emme Rylan) phone.
Furthermore, Charlotte recalled that he wore a signet ring with the same crest that adorns a multitude of items inside the mansion as well as her father’s forearm. Laura has Lulu send her the snapshot of Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) and realizes that the ring is not visible — so how could Charlotte have known?
Karama Giveth and Karma Taketh
Sam (Kelly Monaco) was riding high following her Christmas Eve exit from Pentonville. However, the news of an upcoming visit from her parole officer slightly dampened her spirits. Following the home inspection, Sam had terrible news for Jason (Steve Burton)- as a condition of her release, they must stop seeing each other!
Pity Party
It was confession time at Casa Corinthos as Carly (Laura Wright) revealed the whole sordid tale about Nikolas’ return and the deal he had made with Jax (Ingo Rademacher).
Sonny (Maurice Benard) immediately began to make noise about Jax committing an illegal act (pot meet kettle) and took exception to the fact that Carly saw fit to leave him out of the loop. How dare she! General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
