The General Hospital recap for Monday, June 14, 2021, features Willow deciding to forgo her own happiness for another, Finn and Elizabeth getting a little too close for comfort, and Carly standing her ground.
Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and Chase (Josh Swickard) invited a cortège of friends and family – and Nurse Webber (Rebecca Herbst) – into the latter’s hospital room, and proceeded to announce their engagement.
At the first available opportunity, Willow scampered from the room, but she was caught by Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) who offered up her sincere support. Brook Lynn then turned her attention to Chase, whom she comforted in his time of need.
What better way to spend a weeknight than by visiting your parent in the big house? And while Molly (Haley Pullos) found herself drawn into one of Alexis’s (Nancy Lee Grahn) missions of mercy, TJ (Tajh Bellow) spent his time with Shawn (Sean Blakemore) arguing over whether or not he had the right to continue seeing him in light of the parole board squashing the latter’s appeal.
Finn (Michael Easton) took to his lab in order to mourn his impending loss and to blame himself for Chase’s misfortune. Liz attempted to help shoulder his burden, but they instead shared a sexually charged moment!
Carly (Laura Wright) did her best to elicit Michael’s true reason for allowing Nina (Cynthia Watros) to visit with Wiley, but he kept quiet about Jax’s (Ingo Rademacher) blackmail. In a perfect example of turn about being fair play, Michael (Chad Duell) then attempted to ascertain whether or not his mother would cede control of Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) territory to Jason (Steve Burton).
After saying goodbye to Wiley – and sparring with Carly – Nina headed for Jax’s. She got him to admit, in a roundabout way, that he’d leveraged something against Michael to arrange the familial get-together, and in turn, she, in a roundabout way, discussed her ongoing problems with “Mike.” Willow made her way back home to Michael, and dropped her bombshell: She’s marrying Chase.
