General Hospital Recap: Valentin Is Ready To Give Up Charlotte

The General Hospital recap for April 21, 2020, features Valentin putting Charlotte’s needs above his own, Willow getting a shock, and Sonny angering Cyrus – who just might have a new best friend.

General Hospital Recap Highlights

Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) revealed to Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) that she witnessed him shove Ava (Maura West) from the Wyndemere parapet. When he wondered why she had never said anything before, Charlotte told him that she had been fine with his actions.

After all, it was really Ava’s fault that she was pushed. Just like it was Sasha’s (Sofia Mattsson) fault for lying about being Nina’s (Cynthia Watros) daughter. And it was Lulu’s (Emma Rylan) fault for revealing the scheme in the first place.

Charlotte And Her Twisted World

Oh, and it was most certainly Nikolas’ (Marcus Coloma) fault for being at the wrong end of Valentin’s gun. How dare he have allowed himself to be shot by her beloved papa! Valentin is aghast to hear his daughter rationalize his crimes – and blame others for them. And he can’t believe that she is still dreaming about being one, big happy family with him and Nina.

Off that conversation, he begged Laura (Genie Francis) for a moment of her time, and she reluctantly complied. Once alone, he asked her to nurture Charlotte and teach her right from wrong, “Because, clearly, I can’t do that.”

Best Laid Plans

While Michael (Chad Duell) and Josslyn (Eden McCoy) discussed “beautiful” Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) at GH, she was busy catching Chase (Josh Swickard) and Sasha in a compromising position.

Chase claimed that he and Sasha were driven to have an affair – they’re so tired of coming second best to Wiley. And since she isn’t the exactly the sharpest knife in the stand, Willow fell for the ploy hook, line, and sinker.

The End Is Nigh For Mike

Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) decision to forgo his meeting with Cyrus (Jef Kober) didn’t exactly endear him to his newest rival. But, at least it did provide Cyrus an opportunity to get to know Julian (William deVry) a little better.

At Turning Woods, Sonny was informed that the seizure Mike (Max Gail) suffered was indicative of end-stage Alzheimer’s. However, Sonny had a hard time wrapping his head around the concept. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
