The General Hospital recap for Monday, April 1 features Valentin doing what Valentin does best — lying. A lot. To Nina.
Lying seems to come to Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) like hunger and sleep come to others. When Nina (Michelle Stafford) demanded Maxie (Kirsten Storms) tell her why she ran another DNA test, Peter (Wes Ramsey) spoke up and said it’s because of something Liesl (Kathleen Gati) was holding over Valentin’s head.
Of course, Valentin switched the results of the DNA test so it looked like Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) indeed is Nina’s daughter, much to Sasha’s surprise. Valentin just said he asked Peter to drop the charges on Liesl to keep the family together.
Nina didn’t buy that and privately asked Valentin to tell her the real thing Liesl held over his head. So, Valentin said Liesl knew she’s the one who injected Cassandra (Jessica Tuck) well over a year ago. That one Nina believed. Of course.
A devastated Lulu (Emme Rylan) had to explain to Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Carly (Laura Wright) that Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) left town again. Carly did not bother telling Lulu about the incident with Dante and the knife. We do not know why she told Sonny this, but not Lulu.
Franco (Roger Howarth) let his fury out on Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) right before his hearing and Kevin took full blame for all that happened. It turned out Nora Buchanan (Hillary B. Smith) from Llanview was representing Kevin and she quickly talked him into pleading not guilty.
Laura (Genie Francis) ended up paying Kevin’s bail without him knowing after Lucy (Lynn Herring) attested to her ex-husband’s character.
Laura also told Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) she wasn’t sure if she could forgive Kevin. Later, Alexis informed Laura, Liz (Rebecca Herbst), and Franco that they need to be at the hospital in the morning thanks to Gail Baldwin’s will.
General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
