The General Hospital recap for April 20-24, 2020, features a whole host of characters dealing with, fighting against, and accepting some of life’s tougher challenges.

General Hospital Recap Highlights

It’s too bad that life can’t be as simple as remodeling a house. (By the way, kudos on the brand-new set GH!) If it were, people could simply draw up a blueprint, follow it, and be all the better for having done so. And were a problem were to crop up, they could always throw some money at the “architect” who’d fix it right away.

But life isn’t so simple. In fact, it’s messy and complicated – a fact that many in Port Charles are finding out the hard way. Take, for instance, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

He’s bearing witness to the slow, agonizing decline of his Alzheimer’s-stricken father and all the while dealing with threats both domestic – the custody battle waging between Michael (Chad Duell) and Nelle (Chloe Lanier) – and foreign (Cyrus Renault).

Alexis And Molly Troubles

Then there’s Molly Lansing Davis (Haley Pullos). She thought her boyfriend had broken up with her so she fell into bed with a virtual stranger. Turns out said boyfriend had been actually beaten, bound, gagged, and held hostage by a mobster’s goons. Whoopsie!

Speaking of Molly and TJ, their respective mothers are also having a really tough time dealing with the current state of their lives.

Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) really thought there wouldn’t be any repercussions for her and Neil’s (Joe Flanigan) perjured testimony but now he can no longer practice medicine, and she’s being called before the New York Bar Association.

And Jordan’s beginning to chafe under Cyrus’ (Jeff Kober) thumb. She just can’t seem to reconcile her duties as both a police commissioner and mob crony.

GH Musings

And don’t forget poor Valentin (James Patrick). He spent years lying and scheming and attempting to kill oh so many people all the in the name of making a better life for himself and his beloved Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez).

But now that he has seen just how much his villainy has rubbed off on the little girl (bullying Aiden really should have been his first clue), Valentin has decided that his only course of action is to extricate himself from his daughter’s life.

For some reason, we don’t see that going over very well with a reptile-friendly tyke. Watch out Lulu (Emme Rylan), your life is about to get a lot more complicated! General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
