The General Hospital recap for Friday, July 9, 2021, features TJ Ashford and Molly Lansing-Davis taking on the judicial system and winning, and Carly Corinthos going to great lengths to see off a love rival.
General Hospital Recap Highlight
Having listened to the recording provided by Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight), Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) decided she had more than enough to call Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) and Alexis Davis’s (Nancy Lee Grahn) incarcerations into question.
She raced over to Statesville and arrived just in time to halt a contentious confrontation between the two prisoners and a corrupt guard. Opposite this, TJ (Tajh Bellow) and Molly (Haley Pullos) marvel over what they’ve accomplished, and the latter decides that, should the worst happen, her actions would be worth losing her job. Later, she and TJ are reunited with their parents and TJ gets his first-ever hug since learning Shawn’s his father.
GH Recap: It Ain’t Over Till It’s Over
After extracting the truth from his aunt Stella (Vernee Watson) – turns out she DID warn Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) away from him. Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) gave the meddlesome woman what-for, then left her to her own devices…which is never a wise move.
General Hospital Recap: Twist of the Knife
While Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) faced telling Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) that he and Carly (Laura Wright) are engaged, Carly busied herself by spinning a web of lies concerning her and Jason’s “romance” and then throwing it in Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) face. Is it any wonder that Carly’s sole female friend is her teenage daughter?
GH Recap: Distracted By Love
Despite having better things to do, and more pressing matters to concern themselves with, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) can’t help but reflect on the kiss they shared the night before.
General Hospital Recap: Next Steps
Austin (Roger Howarth) delighted in telling Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) that he’s joined the staff of GH, remaining completely unaware of the fact that his continued presence only serves to complicate her and Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) labyrinthine plot.
Elsewhere, Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) asked Portia if she could count on her support should she run for Chief of Staff; Portia agrees, but only after she’s laid out all the problems that the job will bring her friend’s way.
