The General Hospital recap for Thursday, July 16, 2020, features a flashback to May of this year. In that episode, Nikolas received a demand from his son, Julian told Neil a few truths, and the Davis women had the first of three-day verbal brawl.
General Hospital Recap Highlight
Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) and Ava’s (Maura West) argument over the estate’s vegetation was interrupted by a perusal of the day’s mail. Tucked away inside the bills and solicitations was a letter from Spencer (Nicolas Bechtel).
Nikolas was heartened by the missive – perhaps his son had enclosed his forgiveness and acceptance of Nikolas’ actions. Instead, he found a terse note containing a demand: dump Ava!
For her part, Ava was equally happy for Nikolas’ news…but she also wondered when he would be leaving her home. After all, when they divorce, she will inherit 90% of the Cassadine fortune including Wyndemere and the island on which it sits. Nikolas called bull. And then he insulted Ava’s parenting. That one earned him a slap across the face.
Open Mouth, Insert Foot
Franco (Roger Howarth) and Liz (Rebecca Herbst) disagreed over what Liz saw as Ava’s using Franco’s notoriety as a reformed serial killer to her advantage. Franco told her he was fine with it. Then he insulted her prowess as an artist. He didn’t get a slap like Nikolas but he did have to deal with Liz’s pouty face and that stung just as much.
Neil and Julian Faced Off
Neil (Joe Flanigan) confronted Julian (William de Vry) and let him know that not only did his little display at the hospital cost him (Neil) his job, but it also put Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) in the hot seat.
Julian insisted that the good doctor should thank him. Now he’s free to pursue Alexis to his heart’s content. And why wouldn’t he want to do so? Unless, of course, he was going to selfishly walk out and leave Alexis behind…
Sister vs. Sister
Molly (Haley Pullos) continued to bemoan her status as a cheater. Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth) continued to push her sister to stay silent. And Sam (Kelly Monaco) continued to play referee.
But then it all came out…and all because Alexis called Molly her little Ruth Bader Ginsburg. In no time flat, Molly confessed her one-night stand with Brando (Johnny Wactor) and Sam had laid all her troubles at Kristina’s feet. And all poor Alexis could do was stand there in shock.
