The General Hospital recap for Friday, May 8, 2020, features a throwback to a very special episode that saw Curtis and Jordan joined together in holy matrimony – and finding a very unusual present in their honeymoon suite!
General Hospital Recap Highlights
Earlier this week, Franco (Roger Howarth) finally got the root of Ava’s (Maura West) continued self-destructive behavior: she still blames herself for Kiki’s (Hayley Erin) death.
After all, it was her lamenting Kiki’s existence that led Ryan Chamberlin – Ava’s most ardent admirer – to corner the young woman and brutally stab her to death.
And it is with that epiphany in mind, that General Hospital chose to use “Flashback Friday” to repeat an episode that began with Curtis and Jordan’s wedding…and ended with the discovery of Kiki’s corpse.
Context Is Key
Call her crazy if you must, but Stella (Vernee Watson-Johnson) isn’t exactly thrilled at the prospect of having Jordan for an in-law for the second time.
Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that Jordan’s adultery during her first marriage led to the death of her husband – and Stella’s nephew – Tommy.
So, while her lack of presence at the ceremony wasn’t suspect, everyone was asking themselves, “Where the heck is Kiki?” But none more so than her boyfriend, Griffin.
Crowd Pleaser
But Stella eventually arrived and it seemed perfectly timed to the minister’s query if there be any objectors. Stella, however, wasn’t there to halt the proceedings – well, any more than she already had.
Instead, she was there to offer it her blessing and extend her apologies to the happy couple. She even chose to sit on a pew designated for Jordan’s family and friends. The feud was over.
A Shocking Kiki Discovery
Once officially deemed Mr. and Mrs., the Ashfords and their well-wishers decamped to the Haunted Star for the reception. There was Nina (Michelle Stafford) and Lulu (Emme Rylan) being pleasant to each other! Laura (Genie Francis) telling Lulu about “Kevin’s” involvement with Ava and Nina doing her best at being Curtis’ Best Person.
Everything proceeded without interruption. But once the newlyweds departed for their honeymoon suite, they found Kiki’s body on their bed!
Welcome News
Someone who didn’t die that night – though his time on earth was limited – was Oscar (Garren Stitt). Thanks to Josslyn (Eden McCoy) he decided to undergo treatment for his malignant brain tumor. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
