The General Hospital Recap for Wednesday, January 8, 2020, features Ava gearing up for the long haul, Carly meddling, the news of Nikolas’ resurrection reaching another loved one, and Lulu making moves.
Ava (Maura West) awoke to find Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) hovering over her bed and clutching her favorite revolver. Though momentarily frightened she managed to not only reclaim her property but to also needle her new husband with the claim that she’s holding on to the codicil to ensure her own safety.
Furthermore, she declared that she wants Liesl (Kathleen Gati) to remain in the castle. It’s a prospect that Liesl doesn’t seem to mind especially since it provides her with front row seats from where she can root for Nikolas’ downfall. She’ll never forgive him for hurting her “Britta.” Ava even called her the “unofficial maid.”
Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) was livid upon finding Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Jason (Steve Burton) over at Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Carly’s (Laura Wright) though her rage was somewhat quelled when Carly revealed that Nikolas was alive and well.
Surprisingly, Jason and Sam agreed with Alexis’s opinion and told Carly that although they thank her for arranging the meeting, they can’t ever do it again. However, Jason was suddenly struck with a brilliant idea and he and Sam headed off to see Robert (Tristan Rogers).
Desperate to get Gladys out of his house and back into hers, Sonny took her to lunch and revealed that he bought her a car — as one does. In turn, Gladys presented Sonny with an article detailing a new treatment for patients suffering from Alzheimer’s.
After a sleepless spent worrying about Charlotte’s (Scarlet Fernandez) wellbeing, Lulu (Emme Rylan) declared that she would be the one to go to court and seek full custody. And she’s going to do it now while Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) is in no position to fight back.
Alexis made her way to Wyndemere and pulled her nephew into a big bear hug — though she did consider slapping his face just like Laura. Their conversation about his duty to Spencer was interrupted by Ava’s arrival as she delighted in showing off her ring.
Having had enough bull for one day, Alexis left the pair to their own devices. When Nikolas again insisted that she produce the codicil, Ava agreed — just as soon as he signs a postnuptial agreement! General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
