The General Hospital recap features a nail-biter of an election in Port Charles. In fact, it was so close, a recount was an option.
The Quartermaines gathered in the Q living room to watch the election results, while Laura and company gathered at The Floating Rib.
Finally, the results were in and stunned and thrilled Laura (Genie Francis) was named the new mayor of Port Charles like her ex-husband before her.
While Ned (Wally Kurth) and Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) were absolutely crestfallen, Ned decided not to ask for a recount and headed to The Floating Rib to concede to Laura in person.
Normal political discourse, everyone. How refreshing! (Soap Hub was happy Laura won, but we admit we felt kinda bad for poor Ned.)
When Laura gave her acceptance speech, she promised to find the serial killer terrorizing Port Charles. When Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) heard, he got a look of pure fury on his face.
Before the election results were announced, Peter and Lulu discussed the serial killer case and Lulu insisted she could do more investigating and find some answers. Peter was curious what Lulu would then do with this information.
Peter then went for dinner with Anna (Finola Hughes) and questioned her more about his extended family. Everything seemed to be going great till Anna suddenly got a blinding headache and passed out in Peter’s arms.
On the docks, Jason (Steve Burton) and Sam (Kelly Monaco) ran into Shiloh and she had no problem telling him she was once married to his father. Sam said she does not see this as a coincidence at all and Shiloh decided it must be fate.
