The General Hospital recap for February 17-21, 2020, features two juicy secrets coming to light, a baby being handed over, and much more.
General Hospital Recap Highlights
What goes up, must come down — a provable truism. Similarly, if there’s a secret being kept by a character on a soap opera, it’s bound to come out and especially at the most inopportune of moments.
Consider a jubilant Lucas (Ryan Carnes) ready to start his new life with his family suddenly remembering his husband blurting out that the baby they are raising is actually a stolen one — and at his going away party no less.
Carly Talked And Talked And Talked
There were lots of tears. Carly (Laura Wright) talked a lot. In fact, she had more things to say than Brad (Ryan Carnes), you know, the man confessing to his participation in the baby switch. There was more crying and then the police arrived and dragged Brad away.
At the same time, Jordan (Briana Nicole Henry) had to admit to Curtis (Donnell Turner) that she and the three other men on her DEA task force, “framed Cyrus Renault for crimes that he actually committed.” If we were able to grant pardons…we think we’d let the Comish slide on this one.
GH Musings
Carly: “I mean, I’m Nelle’s real target. I’m the focus of her envy and her obsession. And all you that she’s hurt? To Nelle, you’re just collateral damage.” Is there ever, ANYTHING that isn’t about you Carly?
Bobbie: “Well, forgive me for not being so kind and understanding, but that man created incredible harm. This is not love Lucas — it’s selfishness.” And this is coming from the Queen of Deception in the 1970s so she knows from selfishness.
Jordan (Briana Nicole Henry): “You started a mob war just to get back at me?” Cyrus (Jeff Kober): “The fact that there was a mob to start a war with suggests that perhaps you aren’t as good at your new job as you were at your last one.” A) Shade! B) Cold Hard Truth!
Trina: “Cam, this is my father, Marcus Taggert.” One question answered. Trina: “I didn’t know you knew Cameron’s mom.” Taggert: “Yea, she and your aunt Gia used to run in the same circle.” Questions two answered.
Jordan: “What exactly are you asking me right now Curtis?” Curtis: “Are you Trina’s mother.” The answer to question number three was a resounding no.
Taggert: “When you guys are old enough and mature enough to understand…you will hear the legend of the demon named Faith Roscoe.” Trina: “Oh, I know who she is. Lucy’s book. Chapter 17: Gun Molls and Mafia Princess.” But which shady lady reigns supreme? Faith? Olivia Jerome? Ava Jerome (Maura West)? And does Tracy (Jane Elliot) count? She was the Godmother of the Soleito crime family after all.
Lulu: “Have you ever noticed that you only care about Charlotte’s best interests when they match your own?” Of course, he hasn’t Lulu (Emme Rylan). Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) is an egotist, a condition that renders him incapable of gaining such self-awareness.
Speaking of Valentin, he’s going after ELQ because Michael was impolite to him Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) because…why? Because she refused to rat him out to either Nina (Cynthia Reeves) or the PCPD? Because she pled his case to everyone who would listen? That’s gratitude for ya! General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
