The General Hospital recap for Monday, January 20, 2020 features a fractious reunion between father and son, Michael making a deal with the devil, Charlotte acting out, and Jordan asking for help.
Spencer (Nicholas Bechtel) was less than thrilled to see that his visitor was Ava (Maura West), or, as the boy more succinctly put it, “the woman who sold out to my sinister uncle.” Spencer was in no mood to hear Ava’s apology and was later dumbfounded when Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) entered the room.
Father and son tenderly embraced. However, the initial delight that Spencer experienced soon turned to anger when he learned that Nikolas had stayed away so he could reclaim the family fortune from Valentin. “I built you up in memory as this noble prince, but…when it comes down to it, the Cassadine legacy is more important to you than I am.”
Upon hearing that Nelle (Chloe Lanier) is squatting at Brad’s (Parry Shen) and trying to worm her way into Wiley’s life, Michael (Chad Duell) made a beeline for Brad’s place. Once inside, he offered Nelle a deal he was sure she couldn’t refuse: Move into the Quartermaine mansion!
Nelle wondered about her exes sudden generosity of spirit but Michael explained that it was merely a tactic to get her away from his godson. After Nelle made her exit, Michael warned Brad that he prepared to do whatever he deemed necessary to protect Wiley — even if that meant taking him away.
Nina (Cynthia Watros) summoned Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) to the Crimson office and revealed that she would agree to the partnership deal with Deception on the condition that Sasha submits to an in-depth cover story.
Despite her hesitation at opening herself up to public scrutiny, Sasha agreed. Afterward, while Nina discussed the new business venture with Jax (Ingo Rademacher), a visiting Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) took great delight in cutting up the magazine cover mock-up displaying Sasha’s image.
After catching each other up on their personal journeys — she’s recently married, he’s long been divorced — Taggert (Real Andrews) and Jordan (Briana Nicole Henry) got down to business.
After reading the file on their mutual friend’s death, Taggert agreed with Jordan’s opinion that something just wasn’t right and they vowed to get to the bottom of it, together. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
