The General Hospital recap for Tuesday, July 13, 2021, features Nikolas Cassadine welcoming back his prodigal son, the Quartermaine family displeased to see yet another relation coming out of the woodwork, and Maxie Jones making a whole lotta worrying statements.
General Hospital Recap Highlights
Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) is physically, spiritually, and emotionally ailing, and Laura Collins (Genie Francis) is certain that what he really needs is a dose of Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) – but Spencer hasn’t shown the least bit of interest in reconciling with his pops.
In point of fact, he’s far too busy making Ava Jerome Cassadine’s (Maura West) life a misery, and flirting with Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) – while avoiding being seen by their mutual besties – which is a full-time job, However, once he learns that Ava has removed herself from Wyndemere, Spencer decides it’s time to return home. Color Laura and Nikolas shocked and awed.
GH Recap: Welcome to the Family
A meeting to decide the fate of ELQ has been called – and for the first time, in a very, VERY long time, it appears that there will be no infighting or jockeying for the company’s top spot.
Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) insisted that Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) be the one to take the helm, and Olivia Quartermaine cosigned…though she’s still not entirely ready to forgive her husband his affair with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) – no matter how hard Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) pushes the issue.
But what’s this? A pair of intruders have infiltrated the great house! And while the gang is pretty sure they can bandy together and toss Scotty Baldwin (Kin Shriner) out on his keister, they’re going to have a heck of a time dislodging Edward Quartermaine’s grandson – Dr. Austin Holt (Roger Howarth)!
General Hospital Recap: Mama Drama
Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms), having decided that her only recourse is to bid Port Charles adieu, turns to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) for guidance. Nina began by attempting to calm a frazzled Maxie, but the young woman worked herself up into such a tizzy that Nina turned her attention to trying to convince Maxie not to kidnap another woman’s baby – and Nina should know a little something about that.
GH Recap: Big Hearted
It was a case of good news/bad news for Lenny Caulfield (Rif Hutton). His bar is raking in the cash, but his ticker is soon to fail. Phyllis (Joyce Guy) and “Mike” (Maurice Benard) are devastated
