The General Hospital recap for January 18, 2021, features Sonny playing the hero, Millow reaching a decision, and the walls closing in on Tracy.
General Hospital Recap Highlights
Sonny (Maurice Benard) managed to easily beat and disarm the bar’s would-be robber, which earned him Phyllis’s (Juliette Jeffers) thanks and further scrutiny from her ungrateful husband.
In the aftermath of his heroic deed, Sonny was offered shelter, and a job at the pub, but he remained unsure whether or not he should accept Phyllis’s generosity.
Meanwhile, back in Port Charles, Carly (Laura Wright) continued to struggle with her grief. Jax (Ingo Rademacher) attempted to console his ex, and he listened as Carly tearfully admitted that, despite all the evidence presented to her, she couldn’t bring herself to have Sonny declared legally dead.
Bitts and Bobs
Ava (Maura West) paid Nina (Cynthia Watros) a visit and intimated that she needed someone to intervene on her behalf where Carly was concerned. Nina rightfully claimed that she and Carly weren’t exactly bosom buddies and she also cautioned that Jax probably wouldn’t be too interested in helping either.
But the women’s conversation wasn’t exactly in vain. Ava helped reignite Nina’s desire to find her daughter, and a random thought from Nina inspired Ava to seek out Josslyn’s (Eden McCoy) help with another pressing matter.
So off Ava went to the Corinthos compound and roped the teen into helping her find Avery’s much-wanted necklace. Josslyn found it, reluctantly handed it over, and reminded Ava that she was the monster responsible for Morgan’s death. Ava never really looked at the necklace because Josslyn had rattled her too much.
Secret Keepers
Cameron (William Lipton) deduced that Dev (Aston Arbab) stole Josslyn’s journal, and probably lied about its contents. He explained the situation to Trina (Sydney Mikayla) and they decided to keep quiet for the moment…why ruin Joss’s memory of poor dead Dev?
This Is The End
Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and Michael (Chad Duell) had a reckoning where their relationship was concerned, and both seemed to decide that what they really wanted was the chance to see if their former romances can be salvaged. But don’t think for a minute that they regret their time together.
Conversely, Tracy (Jane Elliot) is beginning to regret her decision to frame Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn)…especially now that Olivia (Lisa Locicero), who was recently schooled in the art of spycraft – thanks Robert (Tristan Rogers)! – is on the case. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
