The General Hospital recap for Friday, July 3, 2020, features final of a five-day, five-episode marathon dedicated to Sonny and his children. In today’s show, Sonny puts his life on the line in order to save Morgan’s.
General Hospital Recap Highlights
Morgan’s (Bryan Craig) decision to forgo his lithium resulted in a full-blown manic episode that culminated in Kiki (Hayley Erin) being shot on the Port Charles docks. He was committed to GH though he managed to escape his confines and make his way to the building’s rooftop.
Once he was situated on the edge, Morgan was confronted by a vision of Kiki who urged him to jump. Michael (Chad Duell) chanced upon his brother and once Andre (Anthony Montgomery) joined the fray, he took off to collect Sonny (Maurice Benard).
Sonny stepped up beside his son and gave him an option: the two of them could jump together or they could step back, re-enter the hospital, and confront the issues that were plaguing him. Luckily, Morgan chose the latter.
The Long Arm of the Law
Meanwhile, Kiki survived the surgery that removed the bullet but Griffin (Matt Cohen) cautioned that she may have problems with her mobility. To compound Ava’s (Maura West) troubles, Jordan (Vinessa Antoine) was gung-ho to arrest her for the part she played in the gun trafficking scheme. However, partner-in-crime Paul Hornsby (Richard Burgi) was able to get her off the hook.
Do Not Engage
Maxie (Kirsten Storms) surprised Nathan (Ryan Paevey) by proposing to him while he lay in his hospital bed – another unfortunate victim of the attack that injured Kiki. Proving that turn about was fair play, Nathan surprised Maxie by saying no. Well, not so much no as not right now. He didn’t want to feel that she had made the gesture just because he was injured.
Griffin Caters to Carly’s Ego
Carly’s (Laura Wright) day continued to go from bad to worse. Not only did she feel that Sonny wasn’t taking Morgan’s condition seriously, but she literally had some of Kiki’s blood to wash off her hands.
And since she doesn’t do anything by half measures, Carly wound up scalding both appendages quite badly. At least the inappropriately dressed Dr. Father Munro was around to tend to her wounds and tell her what a strong lady she was. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC.
