The General Hospital recap for Monday, July 6, 2020, features the start of another week dedicated to Sonny and his children. In today’s show, the King Pin of Port Charles proves that he’s really good at dishing out bullets, but he’s really bad at taking them.

General Hospital Recap Highlight

Sonny (Maurice Benard) had a confession and a promise to make to Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn). He began by revealing that Michael was the person responsible for Kate Howard’s (Megan Ward) shooting – and he was very, VERY sorry that had happened. Next, he swore that he was going to start focusing less on his criminal empire and more on his legitimate business dealings.

The news, however, hadn’t reached the ears of the murder minded Zacchara family – Claudia (Sarah Joy Brown) and Johnny (Brandon Barash) – or Jerry Jacks (Sebastian Roche), their partner-in-crime. And because of that fact, the trio were still gung-ho to arrange Sonny’s assassination.

To further that goal, they entrusted Dr. Ian Devlin (Seamus Dever) with doing the evil deed. But, it turns out, Devlin’s a terrible shot, which is how innocent bystander Michael wound up taking the bullet intended for his father!

Couldn’t Have Been Me

Meanwhile, the villains needed to establish alibis. Claudia went to the Metro Court and caused a public disturbance that forced Carly (Laura Wright) to read her the riot act. Johnny made his way to the Haunted Star where he argued with, and then kissed, Lulu (Julie Marie Berman).

Jerry had planned to spend the evening with his brother, but a last-minute business trip had resulted in Jax’s (Ingo Rademacher) absence. Then when he learned that Michael had been placed in harm’s way, Jerry raced to the warehouse to call off the hit – but he only managed to cause an accident that really upset Alexis, the other party involved.

The Heart Wants What The Heart Wants

Once upon a time, Jason (Steve Burton) was really into Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). And the feeling was mutual. In fact, Elizabeth was so enamored of Stone Cold that she was ready to overlook his hitman ways and welcome him into her home. Now that’s love. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC.
