The General Hospital recap for Friday, September 20 features a daring escape from justice, Carly continuing her deceitful and destructive streak, and Dev choosing flight over fight.
Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) took the stand in his own defense and recited the Dawn of Day rhetoric about giving back to the community through selfless acts of charity and blah blah blah. The good people of Port Charles might have bought that story when he first arrived in town but it was no longer swaying hearts and minds in the viewing gallery.
Despite an earlier sustained objection, Shiloh’s lawyer once again brought up Sam’s (Kelly Monaco) relationship with Shiloh’s father and used the woman’s past life as a con artist to try and plant seeds of doubt concerning Sam’s infiltration of DOD.
However, Shiloh clammed up when the prosecution began to ask about his litany of sexual assaults against young women who joined his so-called “Trust.” The trial was concluded for the day and the defendant ordered back to Pentonville.
Proving once and for all that he is Superman incarnate, Shiloh gave not only his guards the slip but he also skillfully avoided the assassin Peter (Wes Ramsey) hired to silence him for good. Shiloh managed to undress one of the men and don his uniform which he uses to flag down a totally unaware Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman).
Carly (Laura Wright) continued to lay the woes of the world at Dev’s (Ashton Arbab) feet and insisted to Sonny (Maurice Benard) that the boy had to go. After spending the morning lying to Bobbie through omission (she still hasn’t let her mother know that the baby will be born with spina bifida), Carly railed that Dev had to be sent to boarding school.
At Kelly’s a despondent Dev price checked airline tickets that would take him from Port Charles to Montreal. Josslyn (Eden McCoy) arrived back home and stumbled upon the brochures Carly had been perusing for Dev.
Since Joss thinks she’s the center of the universe — just like Carly — she is sure that her mom and Sonny are planning to send her maudlin ass away. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
