The General Hospital recap for Friday, January 25 features the morning after for Jason and Sam.
After more than six years, Jason (Steve Burton) and Sam (Kelly Monaco) woke in each other’s arms and then Jason made a real breakfast. Sam was thrilled, but then not so thrilled when Jason got a text from Spinelli to meet him at The Metro Court.
Sam admitted she felt like it was the last time when he walked out for a meeting and never came home. Jason promised to text her when he got to the Metro Court, where he told a nosy and excited Carly (Laura Wright) he’s better than he’s been in six years.
Sam was a nervous wreck the entire time he was gone, but then Jason returned and all was well with her world again.
At the Friz house, Aiden (Jason David) and Jake (Hudson West) played video games upstairs while Franco (Roger Howarth) and Liz (Rebecca Herbst) discussed the possibility of Aiden being gay downstairs.
She wondered how he’d be treated later in life and pointed out the discrimination towards LGBTQ people in the United States.
Franco wisely pointed out they have to deal with the more current issue at hand, the bullying going on now.
Lots of things happened at the hospital today, which is very impressive for a hospital show that doesn’t often have things happen at the hospital.
Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) had the same surgery as Anna (Finola Hughes) and was miraculously able to see again. There was an awkward moment between Ava (Maura West) and Griffin (Matt Cohen), but they got past it.
Robert (Tristan Rogers) showed up at the hospital with information Anna wanted. Somehow Kevin’s name ended up in his files and, proving he’s linked to this infection via the WSB.
Meanwhile, Laura (Genie Francis) stood vigil over Lulu (Emme Rylan), begging her to wake. She finally squeezed Laura’s hand, prompting Laura to run for a doctor. That gave a no-longer-blind Ryan the opportunity to sneak into her room to finish the job.
General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
