The General Hospital recap for February 1-5, 2021, features Nina getting her priorities straight, the countdown to Peter’s downfall, and Sonny continuing not to remember much, and so much more.
A peruse through Nelle’s (Chloe Lanier) personal effects provided Nina (Cynthia Watros) with conformation that the young woman was indeed her daughter. In the aftermath of her discovery, she bemoaned the course of action she took against Nelle and she mourned the fact that the two of them had been denied their reunion.
But in her grief, Nina found new purpose. Though she wouldn’t be able to forge a relationship with Nelle, she would be able to do so with her grandson. And Nina planned to be in Wiley’s life come hell or high water or interference from Carly (Laura Wright).
Peter (Wes Ramsey), finally tiring of all the naysayers and their unflattering comparisons of him to Nathan, made his dead brother a promise. He was going to make it his life’s mission to eradicate everyone’s memory of the fallen hero…especially Maxie (Kirsten Storms) and James.
But the artist formerly known as Henrik has far more to worry about than living up to the memory of a ghost. Anna’s (Finola Hughes) finally beginning to suspect that there might be some truth to the assumption that her play-son is still just as devious as ever…and if she manages to uncover his Drew Cain-related secret, there’s little hope that she’ll stay mum.
Cyrus (Jeff Kober) attempted to barter his noncooperation with the DOJ – which would certainly result in Taggert’s (Real Andrews) swift release from custody – for the return of his mother…but Jordan (temporary recast Tiffany Daniels) still couldn’t oblige him. So Cyrus threatened to end the lives of her loved ones if an untoward fate befell Florence!
After much deliberation, Finn (Michael Easton) decided to forge ahead with a stealth paternity test in order to determine if he was indeed Chase’s (Josh Swickard) father.
Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) managed to pull herself together, force her person into attending an AA meeting, and admit that she’s struggling to see a point in staying sober. She has no romantic entanglement. No career. And a strained relationship with her family and friends. What exactly is the incentive to put down the bottle?
With the proper medication now in his system, Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) mood began to level out and his mind began to clear…but he still struggled to recall his life prior to waking up in the forest.
But salvation may soon be on its way – and in the form of Nina who, in an attempt to make contact with Phyllis (Juliette Jeffers), wound up speaking with Sonny…and there’s no denying the fact that she recognized his voice!
