General Hospital Recap 1
The General Hospital recap for Friday, May 17 features flattery, frustration, flirtation, and a fireball ripping through a Canadian homestead.
Nina (Michelle Stafford) and frenemy Sydney Val Jean (Chandra Wilson) hosted the live red carpet arrival of Port Charles’s many luminaries for the annual Nurses Ball. The events founder and regular emcee Lucy Coe was the first to strut down the velvet runway and she promised a night of delicious surprises.
Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) and Ava (Maura West) was the first duo to arrive and their presence led seething co-conspirators Lucy and Scotty to formulate a plan to bust the relationship up.
After much prodding from Josslyn and Sonny (Maurice Benard), Carly (Laura Wright) agreed to leave her daughter alone for the night and attend the Ball. After arriving, she and Sonny ran into Michael (Chad Duell) and Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) fresh off an uncomfortable and fawning interview with Nina.
Seeing Maxie (Kirsten Storms) and Peter (Wes Ramsey) together on the red carpet got Nina so flustered that she went into a coughing fit and had to step outside.
In the cool night air, she happened upon Jasper Jax (Ingo Rademacher) who offered her his glass of champagne. The two shared a flirty few moments before Nina raced back to her hostess duties.
The celebratory mood was somewhat darkened when Sam (Kelly Monaco) arrived with Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) on her arm. He proceeded to make a veiled threat to Carly and Sonny over Kristina and her inevitable return to Dawn of Day.
Scotty and Lucy put their scheme into action — Lucy had a hotel porter bring Kevin up to a hotel suite where she was waiting in her underwear ready to seduce her beloved Doc. Scotty dragged Ava up after them wanting to have her catch the two in an intimate moment.
In Toronto, Curtis (Donnell L. Turner) and Laura (Genie Francis) found themselves bound together in April Trembly’s house as it filled with gas. The sleuths managed to free themselves and leap from the porch just as the gas ignited and blew up the house!
