The General Hospital recap for May 25-29, 2020 features a nostalgic look back at two fundraising galas replete with musical performances and a ton of drama.
General Hospital Recap Highlights
Anything and everything can happen at the Nurses Ball. You can count on spills, thrills, and the occasional chill – and somebody always winds up humiliated on stage…and it’s usually Lucy (Lynn Herring). And she’s usually in her underwear.
Once Upon A Time, Six Years Ago
The episodes that aired on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday were devoted to the ball held in 2014. There were some surprise performances – like Liesl’s interruption of the nurses’ opening act and her subsequent take on Willkommen from Cabaret, as well as Player’s sudden appearance.
There were disappointments – like Blackie Parish’s (John Stamos) failure to show up. There was a wedding – though the groom wasn’t technically Luke Spencer (Tony Geary). It was his evil alternate personality, Fluke. And there was a collective celebration over the assassination of Mr. Marbles.
Party Like It’s 2015
Fast forward one year. Nothing much changes. Sure, Lucy didn’t officiate a wedding, but Brad (Parry Shen) did propose to Lucas (Ryan Carnes). Liesl once again forced her performance on the crowd — this time it’s a rendition of 99 Red Balloons.
Emma (Brooklyn Rae Silzer) and Cameron (Michael Leone) – the tiny tango twosome – were once again interrupted by Spencer (Nicolas Bechtel). But rather than introduce Player, he dropped sandbags onto the stage. Instead of Luke getting fired from ELQ for his harassment of Kiki (Kristen Alderson), Ric (Rick Hearst) and Hayden’s (Rebecca Budig) fraud was outed.
But the biggest shocker of the night came courtesy of Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst). She decided she was tired of being a little Miss Goodie Two Shoes. Yea, she knew that Jake Doe (Billy Miller) was really Jason (but he wasn’t), but she doesn’t care. She’s keeping quiet and Nikolas (Tyler Christopher) had better do the same!
GH Musings
Did anyone else forget that Sean (Sean Blakemore) was the manager of “the famous Kelly’s Dinner” and the server of “the most famous BLT North of Albany.”?
Which song proved to be the most ironic? Were putting our votes behind Criminal Love. Seriously, this soap should ditch its theme music and adopt this little ditty.
What exactly do you think it was Lesley Webber (Denise Alexander) did to endear herself to the members of Player? General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
