General Hospital Recap: Oscar Prepares For The Inevitable

The General Hospital recap for Thursday, April 18 features heartbreaking realizations for the Quartermaine family and a shocking familial betrayal.

Oscar (Garren Stitt) and his parents arrived at the Quartermaine mansion. When he was left alone with Ned (Wally Kurth) and Olivia, Oscar implored them to oversee the planning of his memorial service.

He told them he didn’t want the service to be solemn or sad, but Olivia couldn’t make any promises.

Josslyn (Eden McCoy) arrived to welcome Oscar home and the two decided to continue the song they are writing together. Oscar tried to make Joss realize that he might not be around to perform it with her at the Nurses’ Ball as they had planned. Joss insisted they live in the here and now.

When Finn (Michael Easton) questioned whether or not Robin should be told of Anna’s (Finola Hughes) paranoia, she insisted that she could not keep such a secret from the child she reared as her own. Later, Anna found a bracelet that convinced her she was Robin’s mother after all.

Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) confronted Neil (Joe Flanigan) and admitted that she felt embarrassed and betrayed that Neil rebuffed her concerns about Kristina but then immediately jumped to help Sonny (Maurice Benard).

Neil assured her that Sonny came to him after he had spoken to her and that he agreed to help because of Alexis. She tried to get him to open up about his personal experience with cults but he told her she needed to respect his personal boundaries.

Sonny was mainly concerned about himself and was convinced that Kristina’s Dawn Of Day Pledge is about him and his illegal activities and he was sure that Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) would use the information to blackmail him.

Sam and Shiloh questioned Julian (William deVry) about Kristina’s whereabouts. He told them he hasn’t seen her in days and is ready to fire her. Alexis arrived and lied that Kristina had called her and explained she needed some time alone.

Sam assured Jason that Shiloh bought the story but it was clear that he did not. Back at the DOD house, he examined Kristina’s pledge in which she accused Alexis of deliberately running over Kierfer Bauer.
