The General Hospital recap for Tuesday, August 17, 2021, features Nikolas Cassadine emulating the slasher villains of old, Sam McCall receiving a phone call from a supposedly dead ex-husband, and Ava Jerome Cassadine getting an unwelcome blast from the past.
General Hospital Recap Highlight
While decked out in his horrific finery, Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) cornered Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) and attacked him with a retractable blade. After realizing that he was actually fine – and not minced meat – a shaken Spencer made his way to Wyndemere’s drawing-room and joined his friends in catching recent arrivals Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) and Laura Spencer Collins (Genie Francis) on all the spooky goings-on.
Nikolas then made his presence and his motive – justice for Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) – known. Opposite the island-set shenanigans, Ava found her car ablaze in the hospital parking lot. Upon inspection, the fire chief deduced that it was sabotaged. Included amongst the debris is Kiki’s badge…an item Ava swears was placed in her daughter’s coffin!

GH Recap: Voices Carry
Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) refused to give credence to Drew Cain (Ryan Mathison) being the former’s caller…until they do. After all, Drew’s body was never recovered from his plane’s wreckage. Is it so far-fetched that he survived the hit arranged by Peter August (Wes Ramsey)? Probably, says Dante; the man brainwashed by a spy organization to assassinate Peter.
General Hospital Recap: Mother Courage
Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) castigated Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) for attempting to record her incriminating herself on tape, then threw him out of her abode. Carly then received an SOS from daughter Josslyn (Eden McCoy) and had to decide which should take precedence – her child, or the meeting with the Five Families. Josslyn won out…but only just.
