The General Hospital recap for Wednesday, October 16, 2019, features a criminal’s parole hearing, another shock arrest and a twist that everyone and their brother saw coming from a mile away.
Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) revealed that he had Nelle (Chloe Lanier) pegged as a bad girl from day one but he still fought the good fight for his client at her parole hearing. Poor Brad (Parry Shen) spent the morning sweating bullets — fearful that Nelle would rat out their baby switching scheme.
Luckily for Brad, Nelle kept quite and she even pulled off a stellar Academy Award-worthy performance for the parole board.
She was contrite, she apologized, took full responsibility for her actions (ha!) and even promised to devote her life to caring for hospice patients (double ha!)
Shockingly, the parole board denied Nelle her freedom — apparently, there are still intelligent people living in Port Charles who can spot a sociopath when they see one. Martin revealed that it could take up to two more years for another hearing, which delighted Brad and left Nelle fuming.
One person conspicuously absent for Nelle’s hearing was her ex (and potential murder victim) Michael (Chad Duell). Rather than ensure that his would-be killer remains behind bars, Michael was busy trying to ensure that his latest squeeze didn’t see the inside of a jail cell.
But if Nina (Cynthia Watros) has anything to say about, Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) was going to go to prison for a very long time. Ms. Reeves is pissed at being deceived and she wants the girl to suffer.
Michael begged Sasha to tell the truth about Valentin’s involvement in the scam. Heck, even Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) took a stab at convincing her client to give up the man who is technically her half-brother.
Speaking of Alexis, she had better watch her back. Her oh-so-helpful personal trainer Kendra (Michelle Argyris) is on a personal crusade to avenge Kiefer’s death and she’s stepping up her game plan by poisoning Alexis’ next batch of dietary supplements!
