General Hospital Recap: Nelle Got Herself Out Of Pentonville

The General Hospital recap for Thursday, December 12, 2019, features Nelle being rushed to the hospital, a very bad night for Mike, and Sam finally taking some responsibility for her past – while still being incredibly inconsiderate to her mother.

General Hospital Recap Highlights

At Pentonville, Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) insisted to Detective Chase (Josh Swickard) that the situation wasn’t what it looked like but was ignored. The on-site medic feared that Nelle’s (Chloe Lanier) sole remaining kidney might have been nicked by the scalpel so she was rushed to GH where she was given a clean bill of health.

Nelle was afraid she might be sent back to Pentonville quick, so she gave Tad Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) a call real quick.

Deterioration

At Michael’s (Chad Duell) urging, Sonny (Maurice Benard) joined Dev (Ashton Arbab) and Josslyn (Eden McCoy) at Turning Wood. Mike (Max Gail) reacted violently to his presence, insisting that he was Joe Scully, but the teens were able to calm the waters.

Self-Reflection

While Jason (Steve Burton) was busy asking if there were any strings Ned (Wally Kurth) could pull with the parole board, Sam (Kelly Monaco) had a visit from Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn).

Sam bemoaned the fact that she wouldn’t be in this predicament had it not been for her con-woman past but never once checked on her mother’s health or well being despite her obvious, injured state. She also did a lot of complaining about sharing a cell with Nelle.

Prognosis

Lucas’ friends and family gathered at GH for an update from Monica (Leslie Charleson), who revealed that the patient was off the ventilator and breathing on his own. The group rejoiced but when Bobbie (Jacklyn Zeman) wondered if he was responding to stimuli Monica had to say no.

She also cautioned that the next 24 hours were going to be the most crucial and Bobbie added that, “The longer he stays in this coma the less chance he will wake up.” We wonder if Nelle will make sure Brad pays her a visit.
