The General Hospital recap for Thursday, June 24, 2021, features Monica settling onto her new throne, Carly and Jason taking their eyes off the prize, and Alexis and Shawn playing right into a villain’s hands.
Several delighted hospital employees welcomed Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) back into the fold and congratulated her on her assuming the position of Chairperson of the GH board.
Monica, in turn, happily announced that Bobbie (Jacklyn Zeman) and Epiphany (Sonya Eddy) would soon be returning to active duty. Afterward, a dejected Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) wondered if she’d soon be standing in the unemployment line, but Monica admitted that she had yet to make that call.
In a move that no one saw coming, Terry (Cassandra James) threw her hat into the ring – a prospect which greatly pleased Britt haters Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) and Portia (Brook Kerr).
Michael (Chad Duell) caught Nina (Cynthia Watros) waxing poetic over Nelle’s (Chloe Lanier) headstone, interrupted her, and reiterated his and Willow’s (Katelyn MacMullen) rule for visiting Wiley – particularly the no mentioning Nelle one.
He then revealed that he’s hired a child psychologist to walk him and Willow through the best ways to tell Wiley about his murder-minded biological mother.
Later, Nina loudly admitted to her (supposedly) dead daughter that she’s been keeping Sonny (Maurice Benard) away from his loved ones…and that they’d probably be mad at her if they were to ever find out.
Carly (Laura Wright) wasn’t at all pleased with Jason’s (Steve Burton) continued interest in Britt; ditto his refusal to tell her just how serious his and Britt’s relationship really was. And while the two argued over Jason’s private business, a Corinthos-owned warehouse was blown to kingdom come on the docks!
Fort the briefest of moments, Willow believed that she was now forever married to a paralyzed Chase (Josh Swickard) – but her hubby will walk again…following months of grueling physical therapy. At least he has the re-commitment ceremony to look forward to.
At the same time that shady lady Judge Carson is offering to mentor Molly (Haley Pullos), a guard clearly on her payroll instigated a dust-up between himself, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn), and Shawn (Sean Blakemore).
It’s enough to get Shawn forever kicked out of the women’s side of the prison, and Alexis thrown into solitary confinement. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
