The General Hospital recap for Monday, June 17 features the characters of Port Charles seeking out the three big C’s: closure, comfort, and control.
Josslyn (Eden McCoy) ushered Cameron (William Lipton) and Trina (Sydney Mikayla) through the kitchen entrance at Sonny’s and asked for their help in contacting Oscar’s spirit. They agreed and joined Joss around the breakfast table in front of a vase of water that was to ripple if Oscar’s spirit was present.
Josslyn’s overly serious invocation sent Cameron into fits of laughter that became contagious and the three found themselves caught up in discussions about hilarious moments they shared with Oscar. Trina noticed the water rippling and the three decided that perhaps Oscar had been present.
Jordan (Briana Nicole Henry) and Curtis (Donnell L. Turner) worried about her mounting medical expenses and Drew (Billy Miller) offered a solution — Curtis should come and work for him at Aurora Media. He later discussed Kim (Tamara Braun) and her declining emotional state with Jordan.
Across town Julian (William deVry) arrived to lend Kim a shoulder to cry on and she surprised him by suggesting that they try for a baby.
A shocked Mac (John J. York) accepted Laura’s (Genie Francis) offer to become the town’s interim police commissioner.
Maxie (Kirsten Storms) worried that her planned surprise party for Peter (Wes Ramsey) birthday would go awry. Peter was able to suss out her plans and initially tried to get Mac to call it off but he arrived (playing the surprised recipient to the hilt) and actually had a wonderful time.
Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) cozied up to Jax (Ingo Rademacher) and tried to negotiate for his interest in Arora Media (he even told Jax to name his price) but Jax wasn’t receptive.
Nina (now Cynthia Watros) implored Valentin to back off and he proved just how much he values her wishes by phoning Curtis the minute she left and tasking him with digging up dirt on Jax.
