The General Hospital recap for Tuesday, February 23, 2021, features Michael trying to bridge the gap, Jax choosing sides, and Liesl doing a spot of B&E.
General Hospital Recap Highlight
Maxie (Kirsten Storms) tracked Nina (Cynthia Watros) down at her office, offered her some much-needed TLC, and acted as a sounding board for Nina’s moans about Nelle’s (Chloe Lanier) life and death.
But even Maxie had her limits. Sure, she agreed that Nina had every right to learn the truth surrounding Nelle’s fall from the cliff…but is the truth worth Carly losing her freedom?
Of course, it’s not, Nina decided. Soon after, she was rewarded for her magnanimity with a visit from Michael and Willow — bearing Wiley.
After stumbling upon Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) at the local coffee shop, Jax (Ingo Rademacher) engaged her polite chit-chat, then segued into his and Carly’s legal woes.
Alexis cautioned her ex to speak in hypotheticals – after all, there is no client/attorney privilege when neither speaker is an attorney, and Jax seemed to be verging on self-incrimination.
So the smooth talker mentioned how he and his other ex had “smoothed” out the circumstances of Nelle’s death and other such nonsense, and Alexis concluded that the two of them should stick to their original stories. Who would it behoove to tell the truth now? Nina? Maybe. But her peace of mind isn’t worth prison time…apparently.
Thanks to Jax corroborating Carly’s testimony, the two of them are no longer persons of interest in Nelle’s death. The F.B.I. was satisfied, Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) was satisfied, and Jax and Carly were tickled pink.
Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) arrived at Anna’s (Finola Hughes), told her to brace herself, and then began to reveal Peter’s (Wes Ramsey) laundry list of misdeeds. Anna, to her credit, was also able to connect some dots…including her nephew killing Drew Cain, and the role he played in the man’s abduction from Afghanistan.
With the truth laid bare, Anna and Valentin came together in an attempt to decide exactly what they should do with all the newly uncovered information. In the aftermath of their reckoning, Anna placed a call to Peter and requested a meeting!
After indulging in an incognito liquid dinner with her daughter, Liesl (Kathleen Gati) took off for Peter’s apartment with the aim of finding something incriminating. Luckily for her, Alex’s (Finola Hughes) last will & testament, and that mysterious flash drive, had been collected by an unaware Peter and thrown onto a table in his living room.
