General Hospital recap for Tuesday, March 9, 2021, features a heart-breaking discovery, emotional confrontations, and a final decision looming.
Peter (Wes Ramsey) got the best of the wrestling match over the gun and Franco took a bullet. While Franco lay bleeding to death, Peter just watched and debated his next move. He ran off into the night and shockingly showed up later at the hospital to see Maxie (Kristen Storms), which surprised even his haters that he actually had the guts after everything was exposed.
Jason (Steve Burton), who got Franco’s location from his phone (thanks to Spinelli), made a startling discovery — Franco near death. Before he could decide what to do next, Liz (Rebecca Herbst) came running in the door looking for her husband, only to find him with a bullet in him and unresponsive on the floor. The couple shared an emotional exchange about their love for each other, the boys, but Franco heartbreakingly slipped away.
Totally aware of her husband’s once deadly request for Jason to shoot him if Franco’s tumor made him go to the dark side again, Liz naturally assumed that Jason carried out his request to kill him and told the police just that.
Jordan (Briana Henry) got confrontational with Robert (Tristan Rogers) over him not spilling a word to her before about everything he knew about Peter and Liesl (Kathleen Gati). Robert told her that he didn’t have any proof, so he pursued other methods. He assured her that he will put Peter away for good.
Mac (John J. York) then reamed Robert too for letting Peter get too close to Maxie, eventually getting her pregnant. The two brothers ultimately joined forces to finally take Peter down.
Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) asked Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) to come clean with her about what he knew regarding Drew (Billy Miller) and his death. She was very fond of her once son-in-law and also expressed her concern for Valentin, knowing how close he was to Peter. Valentin basically said his longtime friendship with Peter was over because too much has happened.
Anna (Finola Hughes) admitted to Maxie (Kirsten Storms) that she and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) kidnapped Peter so he would be gone for good before the wedding. She literally poured her heart out to Maxie and begged her to see the light.
Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) once again did her best to back up Anna and convince Maxie of Peter’s obvious guilt. Emotion ran high, as she passionately asked Maxie whose crimes were worse–Anna’s or Peter’s?
Peter and Anna argued outside Maxie’s hospital room door, as she warned him that he’d have to go through her to get to Maxie. Peter eventually gained entry easily after Maxie invited him inside. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
