The General Hospital recap for Monday, April 13, 2020, features Liesl making a chilling promise, Nina attending a pity party for one, Valentin and Laura chatting and Brook Lynn continuing to be rude.
General Hospital Recap Highlights
Liesl (Kathleen Gati) received a visit from Robert (Tristan Rogers), who informed her that she would be transferred to The Hague where she would stand trial for her crimes. Liesl continued to protest her innocence and Robert assured her that he believed her claims.
However, he planned to do nothing to stop her extradition for two reasons. One, she was merely paying for past misdeeds that she had long gotten away with. And two, by not fighting for her freedom, he hoped to trap a complacent Peter (Wes Ramsey) into revealing his guilt.
After being emboldened by Anna (Finola Hughes), Maxie (Kristen Storms) appeared outside Liesl’s cell. She refused to listen to her mother-in-law’s pleas and insisted that she cop to all charges – that way Liesl can expect clemency and James can be told that his grandmother took responsibility for her actions.
Liesl refused to be a scapegoat and warned Maxie to be wary of her treacherous lover. When Maxie stormed out, Liesl burst into tears, then composed herself enough to warn Robert, “No prison can keep me from justice. Peter will suffer for his crime. And I will get my family back.”
Nina: Self-pity
Jax (Ingo Rademacher) arrived at Crimson with flowers and an invitation for dinner and dancing, but Nina (Cynthia Watros) was in an arguing mood. How can he say Nelle is beyond redemption when he is dating a woman who shares so many of Nelle’s traits?
Jax managed to convince her that she and Nelle were two very different women – sure, Nina’s a child-napping, paralysis-faking former Shadybrook inmate – but she committed her crimes due to mental illness. Nelle is just evil incarnate.
Sympathy For The Devil
Laura (Genie Francis) intercepted a communication sent from Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) to Lulu (Emme Rylan) and showed up at the rendezvous instead of her daughter. Once there, Valentin asked her to convince Lulu to drop her bid for full custody – after all, if it wasn’t for him, Lulu wouldn’t even know she had a laboratory-created daughter.
Victim or Bully
Lulu and Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) continued to snipe at one another and Dustin (Mark Lawson) warned that he was tired of playing the man in the middle. They both needed to shape up or ship out! General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
