The General Hospital recap for Tuesday, March 2, 2021, features everybody secretly thrilled at the idea that Peter might miss his wedding day, the shared frustration when he does show up, and the uninvited guest who arrived locked and loaded for battle.

General Hospital Recap Highlight

While Maxie (Kirsten Storms) fretted about Peter’s (Wes Ramsey) disappearing act, Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick) fretted about the plan they put into action – bag and truss Peter, store him on sight until he can be relocated, and leave behind a forged Dear Jane (make that Dear Maxie) letter.

With the wedding attendees growing restless, and Finn (Michael Easton) growing ever frustrated, Anna suggested they should just call the whole thing off. No, not the engagement. Just the double wedding that no one really wanted to attend anyway.

And though he was initially aghast at the idea, Finn finally agreed…then left it up to Mac (John J. York) to convince Maxie to do the same.

Best Laid Plans…

But just when it seemed that good had actually triumphed over evil, Peter wound up being freed from his bonds – and by Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) of all people!

The men raced back into the ballroom, brought all talk of a postponement to a halt, and set tongues wagging over who could have jumped Peter. Robert (Tristan Rogers) swore left, right, and center that it wasn’t him…but Jackie (Kim Delaney) wasn’t too convinced.

Especially in light of learning about his and Finn’s (Michael Easton) supposedly squashed beef. After all, kidnapping Peter killed two birds with one stone – Maxie wouldn’t marry him, and Finn and Anna wouldn’t go through with their own ceremony.

Objections? Liesl Has A Biggie

But whatever the case, and whoever the culprit, it was decided the couples would press on. The brides made it safely down the aisle, Lucy (Lynn Herring), the town officiant, commenced with her spiel, and all seemed to be going well.

That is until Liesl (Kathleen Gati) burst into the room and voiced her most stringent objection! General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
