The General Hospital recap for Tuesday, August 13, 2019 features a day of otherworldly contact, predictions of the future, and one heck of a shock for Franco Baldwin’s wife Elizabeth.
Laura (Genie Francis) arrived at the Metro Court for a meeting with Chelsea. In her quest to prove whether or not Chelsea is the real McCoy, Laura requested to speak with her “brother” Jonathan.
Chelsea couldn’t seem to make contact — it was almost as if this Jonathan person didn’t exist — but she did have a message from Laura sister Amy!
Amy wanted to congratulate Laura on her marriage to Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) and she wanted her big sis to know that she was happy for her. Now that message Chelsea says is a freebie. But, the warning she has about Laura’s son is going to cost her $300.
Panicked, Laura placed a call to Lucky who assured his mother that all was well. Now certain that Chelsea is a scam artist Laura reprimanded the woman and informed her that fortune telling was illegal in the state of New York.
Chelsea wasn’t bothered by Laura’s doubting and she left her with an ominous parting shot: the son that’s facing danger is not the one living in Africa, it’s the “other” one. Laura was left dumbfounded. She only has one other son and Valentin murdered him…didn’t he?
In the Metro Court restaurant, Stella (Vernee Watson Johnson) informed Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Jordan (Briana Nicole Henry) that she has made contact with her mysterious new relation.
She turned out to be a soldier’s wife currently based in the United Kingdom. Furthermore, Stella revealed that she will be traveling overseas to meet this woman and to take a European vacation.
At Charlie’s, Ava (Maura West) was disillusioned to see the for sale sign outside the building. Julian (William deVry) told her about leaving for New York with Kim who needs a fresh start.
She tries to convince him that he and his girlfriend need to stay in Port Charles because running from grief isn’t an option — and Ava should know. Later, Chelsea informed Ava that Julian would be staying put.
At GH, Franco (Roger Howarth) awoke from his coma but because of the memory mapping procedure, he believed that he was Drew. Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) tried in vain to get through to her husband but Epiphany (Sonya Eddy) and Kevin had to inject Franco with a mild sedative to calm him.
Franco still continued to doubt his “captors” and the improbable story they were selling — until the real Drew (Billy Miller) handed him mirror and Franco was able to realize his face was completely different from what he expected.
